Hairspiration Part Deux

Camera phones are a genius invention. I spotted this poster at Target the other day and decided I'd like my hair to look like this and so I snapped away. This model is gorgeous but I think I can pull it off.

I'm gonna turn 25 in two weeks. Eek.

On my to-do list...

1. Finish lots of homework.

2. Finish my article for Imprint Magazine.

3. Last but certainly not least, organize my damn closet. It's in dire need of some structure.

Current Inspiration

After reading about them on Smitten, I became rather obsessed with these two adorable people's blog, rockstar diaries. They are the most ridiculously adorable couple in the world! I spent all my downtime at work on Wednesday reading the blog and in awe of their pictures. Two things that I got from this new obsession of mine:

1. These two have the sweetest most loving marriage and I would absolutely dive into the matrimonial pool if I was guaranteed a union like this one would be mine as well.

2. Naomi makes me want to have long hair, bangs and freckles. She is so goddamn gorgeous!

Le sigh.

Most certain wonder

After a huge, delicious meal yesterday, I sat down to watch Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium and fell in love with it. The imagery and cinematography was magical and made me feel like a kid again. Natalie Portman looked so adorable back in her short hair days and she wears the cutest little outfits. Jason Bateman, well, he's always amazing. But my favorite part? Dustin Hoffman's dialogue. My favorite line of his is "Life is an occasion, rise to it." Isn't that a wonderful quote?

I highly recommend this movie, it will make you laugh, cry and wish that you could be Natalie Portman.

A post for Joanna...

I don't know if I'm the marrying type. If I am, I imagine I'd elope or pull a Carrie and Big. Despite this, I like looking at pictures of brides, dresses, weddings and such. Lately, I've been enjoying the newly engaged lovely Joanna's wedding posts and thought of her when I found these pictures.

A hairdresser friend of mine had a chance to participate in a photoshoot put on by the Bride Society at a local cupcake joint. These are my favorite images from the shoot. What a delightful concept, pretty dresses and cupcakes!

I'm toast...

So a couple of weeks ago, I decided to christen my forearm with some permanent ink. I chose the above little happy toast that my friend Kevin drew (long story). I was inspired by Paige's post, about tats on celebrities and what her readers have, to share mine with you.

Yesterday, I was checking NBC for deleted scenes of The Office and lo and behold, I found the above scene complete with....a cartoon toast! I think my tattoo has started a phenomenon.

Hairspiration {That's right I mash words together}

My hair is currently really short. It looks close to the top picture of Aggy, although mine is still shorter than that. Lately, as much as I try to deny it, I've been getting the bug to grow said hair out.

Of course, not only will that take FOREVER, I'll also have to deal with the inevitable "awkward stage." The bottom Aggy picture looks like a cut that would help ease me through that stage. What do you guys think?

After all, if I grow my hair out and hate it, I can always chop it right off!

(I'm sorry I forgot where I got the images from, they've been bookmarked for a while now)

Damn, feels good to be a shorty...

To all my fellow five-foot nothings, I found a cute step stool that is both fun and sophisticated. Behold this beauty from Urban Outfitters: The stow away step stool. Isn't it spectacular? No more having to go to the dollar store and having to purchase the step stool that has ABC's and 123's, clearly indicating that you are the same height as a first grader. No more trying to stand on boxes that give way, send you flying and making you hit your counter with your forehead giving you that delightful cut that scares away all the neighborhood dogs. That's right, my life is now complete. (Images via Urban Outfitters)

Covetable, perhaps...

I'm not a big fan of Katy Perry's music, I wasn't really impressed with the two songs I've heard. I also agree with Allison that Perry should stop trying to copy style goddess, Zooey Deschanel's style.

That said, I saw a picture of Perry performing somewhere wearing this get up and well, I can't help but dig this look. Whoever designed this dress is genius. How can you not look at this and smile? It reminds me of being a child and summertime and just gives me plain giddy thoughts and memories.

Oh Katy Perry, you're all right by me. Just don't sing.
