Getting sketchy: things you find in a living room edition

Here is the second set of sketches I've decided to share. I was really excited when I started but the novelty is wearing off. Basically, drawing is effing hard and I'm crazy to think I can learn how to do it now after all these years. Of course, I'm very stubborn and will continue to attempt this because at the end of the day, this is an extremely therapeutic hobby and that I suppose is what I was searching for all along.

Gettin' sketchy...

So I've decided that I'm sick of telling people that I can barely bring myself to draw a stick figure. I've taken it upon myself to learn the basic methods of sketching and drawing by getting a hold of the "Complete Idiots Guide to Drawing Basics", that's right, I went all out. Although, I must say I'm impressed with their methods of getting my pathetic lines and squiggles to actually resemble an object.

I'd like to show you all my feeble attempts and perhaps I can eventually showcase some improvement.

What do you guys think? Not bad for a beginner, I hope.
