I apologize for pulling a disappearing act around here, this is a super busy yet productive week around here.
I do have a very special event to attend this weekend that I can't wait to share on here. August is turning

My band had a chance to play peace fest this past weekend and we had a great time. 

I've had this romper in my closet for like 3 years and had never worn it because 

I just couldn't find the right occasion. Well, this was the perfect occasion.

the joys of home ownership...

 I haven't really shared any proper pictures of our new home because there is so much I still

wanna do. It's so funny how much has happened in the month that we've lived here. Above

are some pictures of the mister and a friend putting together our new bed frame. It is so

neat, it even has drawers! Having a proper bed frame makes me feel like such an adult.

On the flip side, last weekend we had some intense storms roll through and we woke up

to a basement full of standing water. We unfortunately had boxes full of our stuff still down

there so we had a lot of throwing away to do. This included lots of collectibles, books, pictures,

it was heartbreaking. We tried staying positive and realized it could've been worse.

Oh the joys of owning a home.

bookcase as room divider...

{my living room space}

Part of the appeal of our new house is how spacious it is or appears to be. The only problem

is the temptation to want to fill up all this space with stuff. The one place I'd like to get right is the living room.

It is a pretty big room and we just need something to break it up. Enter: using a bookcase as a room

divider! I'd like to take credit for the idea, but, it was actually the idea of my dear, beautiful friend

who has a much better eye for design than I ever could have. I also looked on the interwebs and found this

feature on apartment therapy and got some major inspiration.

P.S. I apologize for the poor pictures of my living room, I probably shouldn't have used my iPhone. :)

......mix some cocktails, look fabulous and have a ball!

Have you guys added the super 8 app for your iPhone/iPad yet? If not, do so now. I am beyond obsessed, filming my dinner, co-workers, fiance, anything or anyone in sight. First super 8 film? For my sweetheart, of course. I apologize for the cheesiness and silliness but I just wanna show you how cute this little app is.

My fiance and I have this joke about morning breath, every morning he tries to sniff my breath because he says he loves my morning breath and each time I fight him and tell him that I have "puppy breath". It has now been shortened to "puppies". Quit trying to smell my puppies! But I love your puppies!

With that in mind, I made this little valentine, because puppies or not, we love our loved one's breath, but a mint or two never hurt anyone.....
