4 simple goals (before 2011)

I was inspired by Elsie's post on making 4 simple goals and blogging about them so you are more encouraged to accomplish them. Here are mine:
1. Finish up our apartment- I moved in with the beau in April and our apt still looks like I moved in last week. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry area are complete but the living/dining room area looks like hurricane Dee passed through-more like hurricane Dee's wardrobe-there are clothes everywhere. I need to take an entire day and sort through clothes, stuff them in our little closet and then our home will look like a home again.
2. Start my new exercise routine- I'm usually pretty good about this, I actually enjoy exercising but this summer has been nuts and I've pushed health and fitness to the side. Well, no more! I need to start moving, shaking, doing something physical as soon as possible.
3. Play my guitar more often- I'm in the process of learning to play guitar from the beau and he's very patient with me but I don't practice nearly as much as I should. As soon as I get better, he wants us to start writing music together. I would love to do that, so I need to get my act together.
4. Draw more. I'm no artist but I enjoy drawing simply for the therapeutic and creative aspect. I don't draw masterpieces but when I finish drawing something that resembles any shape, it feels amazing.
Do you have any simple goals that you'd like to share? I'll try to share the progress with the ones I mentioned. xo

All about sequins...
Hey! Remember me? I totally fell off the face of the earth, sorry about that. I guarantee it was all due to good things happening at Chez Dee!
I love me a good fashion blog and therefore I am a huge fan of Jane Flanagan and her ReadyMade blog, Off the Rack, and was so pleased when she helped me out with a style inspiration question I had with a sweet skirt I got from Urban for really cheap. Check it out!
Soooo glad it's Friday! This may be my only day off for the next two weeks so I'm gonna take a hold of this day and squeeze it for all it's worth! xo

Sweet dreams...
I moved in with the boy a couple of months ago and am just now finishing up my move (bows head in shame). Our apartment is nice and cozy and I love it but I still feel like I need to do some decorating to get rid of the bachelor pad vibe that lingers. How awesome would this bird banner made by this talented lady look in our bedroom? I love the matching bird pillows. Truly inspired.

Blue Monday...
I had a pretty stressful weekend, work, work and more work. The boyfriend and I decided that next weekend, we're taking off work and relaxing. I just have to get through the next few days and then, a much-needed staycation.
I've been lacking in the inspiration department lately. I've been looking into revamping the look of my blog. I just haven't decided what look I'm going for.
To help restart my inspiration gears, I've been following this awesome blog. I love that she responds to most of the comments left on her posts, there is nothing more wonderful than a blogger who is truly in touch with his/her readers. She also loves hockey and is a Garrison Keillor fan, a girl after my own heart.

Pom Pom flowers...
So apparently I think I'm the new DIY queen or something because I've been taking on all these little projects the last couple of days. The latest being some pom pom flowers for the living room since fresh flowers in these lean times are becoming harder to afford. So I followed this easy-breezy tutorial and ta-da.... here's what I came up with:

{Domestifluff's tutorial is the easiest one around--give it a shot!}

The above image is a little joke; I made this on Photoshop and sent it to the bf while he was at work because he asked me what we should do on his and my day off. A man who likes my sense of humor--he's a keeper!

Is this yours?
Like any normal human being, I have many qualms about flying. The most obvious being of course that the plane crashes or is taken over by terrorists. But the most unfortunately common and most annoying one is losing my luggage. Most of us like to pack some of our best stuff when we travel especially when on vacation, you want to look your best and represent awesome-ness in another location. Finding out your luggage doesn't make it to your destination is such a pain in the ass. This awesome site, Is This your Luggage, puts up lost luggage and its contents for people to claim. According to the site creator, an airport will keep lost luggage for a while and try to find its owner but after some time the stuff is given away to be auctioned off with the profits going to charity. This is where our hero steps in, bids on items then photographs not just the luggage but as aforementioned, the contents inside and hopes to have the owner claim it. Isn't that hilarious? Of course, maybe not so hilarious if you've packed some extremely personal stuff but luckily it's all anonymous.

Call to action....
Dear readers of Tenacious Dee (all 2 of you),
I have a favor to ask of you. I have just made an appointment for my next tattoo. I have given my friend, the tattoo artist, full control of the design because he is a talented and amazing artist. However, I need some ideas so I can lead him in the right direction.
What exact design am I looking for, you ask? I'm so glad you asked. Well, about 4 years ago I got this bad-ass haircut that included a portion of my head being shaved and dyed green with leopard spots. Oh to be young and be able to get away with that again! Anyway, my friend started calling me Laser to make fun of my cut. The name stuck and my closest friends have me on their phones as Laser. So, to honor this bad-ass nickname, I'd like to get a tattoo of a laser gun, a sorta campy and cheesy version of one. I've included some really cheesy examples that I found. Can any of you guys lead me to where I can find some better examples? Have any of you artists ever drawn or designed something like it? I'd love your input!
