Currently looking forward to...

I've been neglecting my beloved blog and I hate doing that. Fortunately, it's because I've been busy living life to the fullest and having a grand ole' time. Here are a few things that I'm looking forward to in the very near future:

1. Going to the gym. If you knew me you'd know that is very out of character for me to say but lately I've been thoroughly enjoying my workout sessions.

2. Seeing my sister. I'm going to Seattle to visit my little peanut next week and I couldn't be more psyched.

3. Finally, some summer weather in the Chi. This was a brutal winter and considering it's already mid-June, today is the first day we've reached 80 degrees.

4. Riding my bike. My little "Malibu Hopper" (photos of her will be posted soon) is all fixed up thanks to my darling friend who surprised me by adding fenders and fixing up her handlebars.

5. Assisting in the preparing of some delicious veggie dishes. I'm no cook, in fact I'm a terrible one. I have a wonderful friend (see #4) who doesn't let me use my inexperience as a cop-out and makes me help him out when he cooks. Currently we are on a vegetarian kick and boy have we made some good grub.

I promise to be a better blogger and to take many more pictures. I haven't been taking pictures lately and that makes me very sad.

In honor of bubble wrap appreciation day...

Check out this sweet bubble wrap game. Just guide your mouse over to the bubbles and click on them to pop 'em. Sorry about the google advertising, it's the only way I could embed it on here. Now pop away! xo

I'm a survivor...

If you are a fabulous single gal and dreading Valentine's Day, check out this fun slideshow on Glamour Magazine's website titled, The Single Girl's Guide to Surviving Valentine's Day. I was more than happy to share how I plan to spend the day. Also featured is one of my absolute favorite bloggers, Chelsea. Check us out!

Smooth Jazz...

How did I miss this? Yesterday was DJ Jazzy Jeff's birthday! Happy belated birthday to a man who has not only brought us the joy of music but the joy of laughter as well through his character, Jazz on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Martin Luther King's birthday, President Barack Obama inaugurated and Jazzy Jeff's birthday all in one week, amazing.

P.S. Speaking of President Obama (I get giddy writing that) and awesome rap duos, check out this shirt that Lauren of Double Takes found. I must have one!

I'm toast...

So a couple of weeks ago, I decided to christen my forearm with some permanent ink. I chose the above little happy toast that my friend Kevin drew (long story). I was inspired by Paige's post, about tats on celebrities and what her readers have, to share mine with you.

Yesterday, I was checking NBC for deleted scenes of The Office and lo and behold, I found the above scene complete with....a cartoon toast! I think my tattoo has started a phenomenon.

Covetable, perhaps...

I'm not a big fan of Katy Perry's music, I wasn't really impressed with the two songs I've heard. I also agree with Allison that Perry should stop trying to copy style goddess, Zooey Deschanel's style.

That said, I saw a picture of Perry performing somewhere wearing this get up and well, I can't help but dig this look. Whoever designed this dress is genius. How can you not look at this and smile? It reminds me of being a child and summertime and just gives me plain giddy thoughts and memories.

Oh Katy Perry, you're all right by me. Just don't sing.

You are what you eat...

Meg Wachter is an amazing photographer based in Brooklyn and these are some of the images from her collection aptly named "Dumped". I would have gladly posed for one of these pictures, especially in the name of art. Still, you have to wonder, how long does it take to get milk and fruit loops out of your hair?

1-2-3-4...

4 things I did this weekend:

1. Had an old-fashioned sleepover with my two best friends at my cozy (read:small!) studio apartment.

2. Got my hands on a Nintendo Wii.

3. Went to see the Dark Knight for a second time. (I'm a dork!)

4. Went sailing.

Happy Monday!
